The Laser Heater operates at temperatures up to 200℃, offering precise, non-contact heating ideal for thermoset and thermoplastic materials. Positioned for direct fiber heating, it allows fine-tuned thermal management, ensuring consistent bonding and enhancing material strength and durability in AFP processes.

Flash Lamp heater

The Flash Lamp Heater provides rapid, localized heating critical for thermoplastic processing, effectively supporting high-speed AFP operations. Positioned near the fiber laydown area, it delivers controlled bursts of heat to optimize fiber adhesion without compromising material integrity, suitable for high-demand layup scenarios.

Thermal camera

Our dedicated thermal camera accessory ensures high-quality AFP processing through real-time monitoring. Mounted directly on the AFP system with adjustable positioning, it captures detailed thermal data to enhance quality control and seamlessly integrates with the system for precise heating management.

AddPath is a path planning software developed in-house by Addcomposites, designed to cater to the automated fiber placement planning, simulation and digital twin monitoring. It allows users to plan, edit and simulate fiber placement laminates and control all relevant functions such as heat, ply drop off, tool tilts.

AddPath and AFP-XS seamlessly integrat to create the most user friendly operating environment. Allowing users to define, modify, and edit placement paths, visualize planned layups to identify and correct gap/ overlaps / steering, etc, accurately calculate material requirements, time, and costs, and generate custom robot programs for the AFP process. During production AddPath captures, streams all the relevant data for further analysis to ensure automated quality assurance and inspection.
